Govt proposes to bring internet calling, messaging apps under telecom licence – Times of India

“For provision of telecommunication companies and telecommunication networks, an entity shall must get hold of a license,” the draft invoice launched on Wednesday night stated.
The federal government within the invoice has proposed a provision to waive charges and penalty of telecom and web service suppliers.
The ministry has additionally proposed a provision for the refund of charges in case a telecom or web supplier surrenders his license.
